The Ünilig Volleyball Group Qualifiers, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF), kicked off on November 23–28, 2025, hosted by Kastamonu University (KÜ). A total of 11 teams from 6 different universities are competing in the tournament.

Held at our Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center, the event brought together the regional university sports community. In addition to host KÜ, teams from Bartın University, Çankırı Karatekin University, Ondokuz Mayıs University, Bülent Ecevit University, and Karabük University are competing fiercely to advance to the next round from their groups.

Opening Ceremony Held

The official opening ceremony of the event was held on November 24, 2025, at the Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center.

The ceremony was attended by Kastamonu University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, Director of Health, Culture and Sports Department Mehmet Sena Aygül, as well as academics, athletes, and a large audience.

During his speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Atalan highlighted the university administration’s support for sports and student-athletes’ achievements, stating, “We consider it our duty to support our students not only in their academic life but also in developing themselves on the sports field.”

Prof. Dr. Atalan also extended his best wishes to all participating teams for success in the matches.

Following the opening speeches, the thrilling matches of the Ünilig Volleyball Group Qualifiers continued. The elimination games are scheduled to take place throughout the week.
