Kastamonu University athletes returned with two silver medals from the Interuniversity Muay 

The Thai Türkiye Championship is organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Burdur.  

The championship, hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University on February 14-15, witnessed a fierce competition among 280 athletes from 61 universities.  

In the championship, Hamza Eren Göksu, competing in the A Division 54 kg Men's category, became the runner-up in Turkey, while Hüseyin Eren Küçükoğlu secured the runner-up position in Turkey in the A Division 63.5 kg Men's category after tough matches.  

Our Rector, Ahmet Hamdi Topal, congratulated the athletes and technical team for their achievements. Stating that our university is making steady progress not only in the academic field but also in sports organizations, our Rector used the following expressions:  

“The disciplined work and determination of our students have once again elevated the name of our University to higher ranks in the sports community. This performance in sports, alongside academic development, is gratifying for us. I would like to thank our coaches and all stakeholders who contributed.”
