Two more programs affiliated with Kastamonu University have gained the right to use the Turkey Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) emblem on their graduation certificates. With the decision made at the 50th Turkey Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) Board meeting held on May 13, 2025, two more programs reflecting our university's quality-oriented education approach have gained the opportunity for international recognition.
Among the programs that have earned the right to use the TYÇ emblem are the International Trade and Logistics program from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Journalism undergraduate program from the Faculty of Communication. The mentioned programs have obtained the opportunity for international recognition by using the TYÇ emblem on their graduation certificates, offering their graduates broader career and education opportunities.
The Number of Programs with the Right to Use the TYÇ emblem in 2025 Increased to 10
With the addition of the Sports Sciences, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Tourism, and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences departments that received the TYÇ emblem recently, the number of programs entitled to use the TYÇ emblem in the first six months of 2025 has increased to 10.
In his evaluation on the subject, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that we aim to increase the international recognition of our University and to train our students as qualified individuals who are experts in their fields and competitive on a global scale, and that we are increasing the quality of education every year for this purpose.
Our Rector, who stated that the TYÇ emblem would provide international validity to the diplomas of graduates and contribute to their education and career lives, thanked Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, the President of the Higher Education Council (YÖK); Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, the President of the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK); YÖK members; and all academic and administrative staff who contributed to the process.
