Four programs affiliated with the Faculty of Education at Kastamonu University have been granted the right to use the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) logo on their graduation certificates, as per the decision made at the 51st Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi (TYÇ) Kurulu Meeting held on October 24, 2025.
The programs that have been granted the right to use the TYÇ logo are announced as Science Teaching, Primary School Mathematics Teaching, Classroom Teaching, and Social Studies Teaching. These programs will gain international recognition by using the TYÇ logo on graduation certificates and will offer their graduates broader career and academic mobility opportunities.
With the addition of programs from the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Communication, and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, which were awarded the TYÇ logo in recent months, the number of programs at our university authorized to use the TYÇ logo by 2025 has increased to 16.
Commenting on the issue, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, emphasized that our University aims to continuously improve the quality of education.
Our Rector stated the following: "As a university, our primary goal is to equip our students to compete not only nationally but also internationally. Adopting the TYÇ logo is one of the steps we have taken toward this goal. This logo not only demonstrates that our programs have successfully passed quality assurance processes but also gives our graduates' diplomas international recognition. Thus, our students will have easier access to career and educational opportunities in Europe and in various global locations."
Stating that efforts are underway to disseminate a quality-focused approach across all academic units, our Rector noted that educational programs are constantly updated, teaching processes are continually improved, and projects aimed at enhancing the student experience are being implemented. He also expressed his thanks to the academic and administrative staff who contributed to this process.
Our Rector also conveyed his thanks to YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, and YÖK members for their support of the quality assurance and compliance processes of our higher education system.
