The Turkish Summer School program, organized in collaboration with Kastamonu University and the Yunus Emre Institute, brings together students from all over the world around the Turkish language and culture. The program, conducted under the coordination of the Turkish and Foreign Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER), will take place in Kastamonu from July 7 to July 25, 2025.
Young People from 15 Countries Gather in Kastamonu to Learn Turkish
Participants from a total of 15 different countries, including Albania, France, Georgia, Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Palestine, Iran, Japan, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, and Jordan, will receive B1-level Turkish language education during the summer school.
In addition to teaching Turkish, the program also includes various social and cultural activities aimed at promoting Turkey's rich cultural heritage and way of life.
Events Contributing to Cultural Diplomacy
The program, funded by the Yunus Emre Institute, places great importance not only on language teaching but also on cultural interaction. Participants will have the opportunity to learn by observing Turkey's natural and cultural beauties on-site, in addition to classroom lessons.
Among the events to be held in Kastamonu are city promotional tours, a picnic in Kadıdağı National Park, visits to the Municipal Recreation Area and Karaçomak Dam, a trip to Safranbolu, museum tours, a tour of Daday district, a presentation on cultural beliefs, a canyon tour, a woodworking workshop, and cinema events.
