In collaboration with the Graduate Education Institute of Kastamonu University and the Technology Transfer Office, the TÜBİTAK 1002 Project Information Training was conducted to enhance the project development competencies of academics and graduate students. On Monday, April 27, 2026, academics, researchers, and graduate students participated in the training program held at the Teknokent Ilgaz Hall.
As part of the training, Prof. Dr. M. Cengiz Baloğlu, a faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and Prof. Dr. Evren Küçük, a faculty member of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, conducted comprehensive presentations on the application processes, project writing techniques, evaluation criteria, and successful project examples of the TÜBİTAK 1002 Rapid Support Program. Participants were shown the steps to follow from project idea development to the application stage, illustrated with practical examples.
The Director of the Graduate Education Institute and Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, stated that project-based work plays a critical role in strengthening the research culture at universities, emphasizing the great importance of our academics and graduate students actively participating in project preparation processes for the sustainability of scientific production. He said, "TÜBİTAK supports enabling our researchers to transform their ideas into scientific outputs."
Prof. Dr. Kaymakcı also stated that, as the Graduate Education Institute, they aim to support students not only with academic knowledge but also with project development, research management, and scientific production skills. He mentioned that the training will continue in the coming days.
