Under the coordination of the Technology Transfer Office of Kastamonu University, TÜBİTAK 1001 Information Training and subsequent project writing-mentorship workshops were held on February 17, 2026.
The information training held in the Cemil Meriç Hall of our university's Central Library was conducted by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük. The program covered the general framework of TÜBİTAK 1001, application processes, and key points to consider in project writing.
Within the framework of the evaluation criteria, the topics of originality, methodological approach, widespread impact, project management, and work-time planning were shared in detail.
After the training, workshop sessions were held throughout the day under the coordination of the Technology Transfer Office Project Support Office. In these sessions, the project ideas of the participants were addressed through a preliminary evaluation, maturation, and alignment with calls. Practical studies were conducted to develop project designs that meet the criteria of various support programs, primarily TÜBİTAK 1001.
Within the workshop, mentor-mentee pairings were formed to lay a foundation for interdisciplinary interaction. The focus was on clarifying the relationship between the project idea and the call text, establishing the integrity of the problem-hypothesis-objective, making the unique value visible, concretizing the widespread impact, and ensuring methodological consistency. During one-on-one mentoring sessions and draft text evaluations, critical sections of project proposals were reviewed, and development suggestions were shared. Additionally, structured evaluations were conducted using tools such as impact mapping, logical framework analysis, and eligibility checklists.
