The Türkiye Century Education Model – Kastamonu Meeting, hosted by Kastamonu University, was held on February 17, 2026, in the Sezai Karakoç Hall of our University Central Library, with the participation of Deputy Minister of National Education Ömer Faruk Yelkenci. 

The program was attended by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, the Kastamonu Provincial Director of National Education, Hasan Gümüş, education administrators, teachers, and guests. 

Delivering the opening speech for the program, Provincial Director of National Education Hasan Gümüş addressed the approach and goals of the Türkiye Century Education Model for the education system and provided evaluations of the model's field applications. 

After the opening speech, Deputy Minister Ömer Faruk Yelkenci took the stage and gave a comprehensive presentation on educational policies, teacher training processes, and the studies conducted within the framework of the Türkiye Century Maarif Model. He shared information about the model's implementation process and the planning aimed at improving the quality of educational environments. 

Emphasizing the importance of all stakeholders working collaboratively to effectively implement the Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Model in the field, Yelkenci stated that efforts in this direction would contribute to the creation of higher-quality educational environments that support the multifaceted development of students. 

The program concluded with the presentation of a gift from Provincial National Education Director Hasan Gümüş to Deputy Minister Ömer Faruk Yelkenci. 

After the program, Deputy Minister Ömer Faruk Yelkenci, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, and Provincial National Education Director Hasan Gümüş visited the Baby and Children's Library, which operates within our University, and conducted inspections. 

During the visit, he received information about the library's operations and the ongoing activities.
