Kastamonu University continues to meet viewers with the "Ramadan on Campus" program, which brings the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan to the campus. The program, prepared in collaboration with the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Theology, and the Department of Press and Public Relations, airs new episodes every week throughout Ramadan.
The program, which premiered on February 25, 2026, aired on the YouTube channel of Kastamonu Kampüs TV. In the opening program, Faculty of Theology Faculty Member Prof.Dr. Ahmet Özdemir drew attention to the individual purification and social solidarity aspects of Ramadan.
In the second part of the program, Associate Professor Dr. Recep Özdirek, a faculty member of the Faculty of Theology, was the guest. In the conversation with Özdirek, the rulings of fasting during the month of Ramadan, the obligatory aspects of fasting, and the points to be considered were discussed in detail.
"Kampüste Ramazan" stands out not only for its content but also for its production process. While Communication Faculty students host the program, they also take an active role in filming and editing. This process, conducted under the guidance of academics and research assistants, offers students the opportunity for practical training.
Throughout the program, our academics from the Faculty of Theology are featured as guests. In the program, which discusses topics such as fasting, sahur, iftar, almsgiving, fitra, nite prayers, the virtue of reading the Quran, and the Night of Decree, the spiritual depth of Ramadan is explored from various angles.
"Ramazan on Campus," which will be on air throughout the month of Ramadan, will continue to offer viewers spiritual content with new episodes every week.
