The project titled "Transforming Intellectual Property into Economic Value and Developing Patent Licensing Capacity," prepared by the Technology Transfer Office of Kastamonu University, was among the projects that qualified for support following the first-term evaluations.
The projects to be supported under the 2026 Local Product Commercialization and SME Support Center Technical Support Program, conducted by the North Anatolia Development Agency, have been announced. While the evaluation processes of the applications made to the program announced on February 9, 2026, were completed, a total of 5 projects were deemed worthy of support.
With the project that has qualified for support, it is aimed to manage the intellectual property assets of the Technology Transfer Office more effectively, commercialize patents, and improve licensing processes. Within the scope of the project, training, consultancy, and capacity-building activities will be conducted to transform the patents emerging from our University into economic value.
Our Rector, Prof .Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with the project's eligibility for support and stated that the work carried out by the Technology Transfer Office contributes to transforming the knowledge produced at our University into social and economic value. Our Rector also thanked all the academic and administrative staff who contributed to the project process.
