The "Project Information Training Series," organized in collaboration with the Technology Transfer Office and the Graduate School of Kastamonu University, was completed with the "Erasmus+ Mobility and International Opportunities Training" held on May 20, 2026.
Within the framework of the training program aimed at promoting project culture and supporting research-oriented academic production at our university, academics, researchers, and graduate students gained information on national and international research support programs, project development processes, and application stages. The face-to-face and online training sessions, with their application-oriented content, saw high participation.
The training series began with the "TÜBİTAK 1002 A and B Rapid Support Module Training" held on April 27, 2026, in the Teknokent Ilgaz Hall. In the program, Prof. Dr. M. Cengiz Baloğlu, a faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and Prof. Dr. Evren Küçük, a faculty member of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, shared their experiences regarding the application processes and project preparation stages of TÜBİTAK's rapid support programs. The online training session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Özgür Kaynar, a faculty member of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
As part of the program, Assist. Prof. Dr. Member Furkan Çoban provided training titled "International and National Research Scholarship Programs," introducing researchers to scholarship and funding opportunities. In the training titled "Erasmus+ KA154 Youth Participation Activities" conducted by Ayfer Yılmaz, European Union projects and youth-focused international collaborations were discussed.
In the final session of the training series, "Erasmus+ Mobility and International Opportunities Training" was conducted by the Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Kaya. At the event, information on student and staff mobility within the Erasmus+ program was shared.
Vice-Rector and Director of the Graduate Education Institute, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, stated in his evaluation after the training series that the program achieved its targeted outcomes and that academics and young researchers benefited from the program in project development. Prof. Dr. Kaymakcı also stated that similar training and support activities would continue at our University to increase project production capacity.
