The primary backbone internet connection speed was raised by 33.3% to 3000 Mbit/s as part of Kastamonu University's IT infrastructure upgrade initiatives. In keeping with the Digital Transformation plan, our university has expanded its capacity and established a dependable IT infrastructure with this update.

With the coordination of our Information Processing Department and as a result of technical discussions and infrastructure optimizations carried out with ULAKBİM, this improvement aims to provide our students and academic and administrative staff with faster, uninterrupted, and reliable internet access in their scientific research, education, and management processes.

The Internet Infrastructure of Vocational Schools in Districts Has Been Strengthened 
As part of its efforts to strengthen its digital infrastructure, Kastamonu University has increased the internet bandwidth of vocational schools located in the districts. With this improvement, the aim is to provide a faster, more reliable, and accessible digital environment for academic and administrative stakeholders.  

According to the conducted studies, the internet connection speeds in the district have been updated: the speed of Abana Vocational School and Bozkurt Vocational School has increased from 70 Mbit/s to 80 Mbit/s, the bandwidth and speed of Cide Vocational School have increased from 50 Mbit/s to 70 Mbit/s, the speed of Devrekani Vocational School has increased from 50 Mbit/s to 60 Mbit/s, and the speed of İhsangazi Vocational School has been updated from 40 Mbit/s to 50 Mbit/s. 

The Information Technology Department stated that the quality of digital access in both educational activities and administrative processes will be improved thanks to the infrastructure works being carried out.
