Awards were presented at the 13th International Silk Road Film Festival, held this year. Mehmet Oğuz Yıldırım, a research assistant at Kastamonu University's Faculty of Communication, was awarded the Best Film and Best Director prizes for his film "Kudret," which he directed.

The award ceremony for the festival, organized by the Silk Road Culture, Art and Education Foundation under the leadership of the Cinema and Television Authors' Professional Association (SETEM) and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's General Directorate of Cinema, was held at the Atlas 1948 Cinema. The night was marked by the SETEM Labor Award presented to Director Mesut Uçakan and the achievements of the film "Kudret." 

Best Film in the Fiction Category: Power

In the National Fiction Film Category, Mehmet Oğuz Yıldırım won the Best Film and Best Director awards for his film "Kudret." With the same film, Nusret Emre Bilgin was awarded Best Cinematography, and Fırat Kaymak was awarded Best Actor.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that the success achieved by Research Assistant Mehmet Oğuz Yıldırım, who was awarded Best Film and Best Director at the International Silk Road Film Festival, was pleasing for our University.  

Our Rector congratulated Res. Assistant Yıldırım spoke about their achievements, emphasizing that this success in the field of cinema will serve as a source of inspiration for our students. They also congratulated all team members who contributed.

Following the awards, Mehmet Oğuz Yıldırım commented, "I am very happy that the film 'Kudret' was awarded at the International Silk Road Film Festival. This success is the result of teamwork." Yıldırım thanked the university administration, especially our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, and everyone who contributed to the festival.

The award ceremony concluded with a screening of the film "Kudret," which was selected as Best Film, followed by a group photo shoot with the festival team, award winners, and guests.
