Established within Kastamonu University in the 2023-2024 academic year, the Social Responsibility Projects Office (Social Office) continues its work without slowing down in the new term. Between January and April 2025, 105 projects were deemed worthy of support through collaboration with 52 different institutions.
Of the supported projects, 54 were prepared by academics and 51 by students. The projects were developed with the aim of benefiting society in many areas, from education to the environment, from health to cultural heritage, and from social awareness to digital literacy.
The Social Office aims to foster not only the academic development of students but also their awareness of social responsibility. In this context, the projects being carried out aim to enhance our University's contribution to society and strengthen students' skills in volunteering, leadership, and project management.
The Social Office is open for applications year-round and evaluates the projects that are submitted each month. Projects are evaluated based on criteria such as academic suitability, social contribution, and sustainability.
To raise social awareness, thematic application calls are also published in some months. April highlighted the "Family" theme, while May announced the prioritization of "Artificial Intelligence" projects.
The Social Office continues to transform our University's community service goals into concrete projects with the results it has achieved in a short time. It invites all academics and students to develop projects aimed at providing social contributions through an application system that is open throughout the year.
