Under the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH 2025 international project titled "Cultivating Peaceful Communities: Non-Violent Communication via Gamification," coordinated by Kastamonu University, project partners who came to the university visited our campus on April 2, 2026.
Project partners visited Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı in his office as part of the campus visit program and exchanged views on the project process and international collaborations.
Representatives from Arte e Cultura Sociale (Italy), Kohtla-Järve Iidla Põhikool (Estonia), Nextstapp UG (Germany), Associação de Jardins-Escolas João de Deus (Portugal), and the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of National Education participated in the visit.
During the visit, the project team members Prof. Dr. Selman Tunay Kamer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Öztürk Akcaoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. Rıfat Kayış, and Assist.Prof.Dr. Burcu Karabulut Coşkun were also present.
During the program held after the project meetings, international participants had the opportunity to become familiar with the Kastamonu University campus and to discuss the achievements gained within the scope of the project, the dissemination of project outputs, and potential new Erasmus+ collaborations to be developed in the future. During the meeting, evaluations were also conducted on the development of gamification-based applications in education.
Our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that Erasmus+ projects make significant contributions to our university's internationalization vision. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Kaymakcı stated, "This project, based on non-violent communication, not only contributes to the field of education but also significantly strengthens intercultural understanding."Such studies conducted with stakeholders from different countries not only enhance our university's international visibility but also make academic collaborations permanent."
The visit concluded after the exchange of mutual goodwill wishes and a commemorative photo session.
