The Winter Sports Games organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation were held at the Erzurum Palandöken Ski Resort from February 13-15, 2026. In the organization, which featured 480 athletes from 98 universities, exciting contests were held across various disciplines.  

The men's and women's teams of Kastamonu University, competing in the cross-country skiing category of the North Discipline Türkiye Championship, organized within the scope of the Winter Sports Games, finished the event with 332 points and became runners-up in Türkiye. In the overall ranking, Erzurum Technical University ranked first with 945 points, while Atatürk University came in third with 266 points.  

In races held under challenging course and weather conditions, our athletes managed to stand on the podium with consistent performances.  

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, congratulated our athletes and coaches on their achievements and stated that the determined efforts of our University in sports activities have been recognized at the national level.
