The Open Days for prospective students who will make their choices based on the results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), organized by the Career Development, Application, and Research Center of Kastamonu University, started on August 4, 2025, at the Central Library. On the first day of the event, a large number of students and families showed interest in the booths set up by the academic units.

 As part of the event, the Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (IIBF), Faculty of Sports Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Tourism, Kastamonu Vocational School, and the Career Development, Application, and Research Center set up booths to provide university candidates with information about educational activities, departmental contents, and post-graduation career opportunities. Candidates and their families had the opportunity to receive information directly from the faculty representatives. At the event, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, Vice Rector of Kastamonu University, also met with prospective students and provided information about the university's academic infrastructure, student facilities, and campus life.
