An Ashura Day event was organized by the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) of Kastamonu University at the Kuzeykent Campus in observance of the month of Muharram. 

The program was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, TÖMER Director Prof. Dr. Onur Hasdedeoğlu, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department Aydın Caymaz, and Press and Public Relations  Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selver Mertoğlu, Deputy Advisor Assist.Prof.Dr. Zuhal Ergün, along with our academic and administrative staff, and many international students.

At the event, meticulously prepared ashura was served to the guests. Our international students, who came to Kastamonu from different regions to receive education, had the opportunity to closely learn about and experience Ashura Day, one of the deep-rooted traditions of our culture. 

In the event where the spirit of sharing, solidarity, and togetherness was highlighted, our international students, the University administration, and our staff came together in a conversational setting. After the Ashura offering, the program concluded with a commemorative photo taken by participants in memory of the day.
