Kastamonu University continues its work in line with its goal of transforming academic studies into value-added products.
The "Ethanol-Based Herbal Hand Sanitizer" was developed by Assist.Prof.Dr. Kerim Güney, a faculty member in the Department of Forestry Engineering at our university's Faculty of Forestry, has registered his research and development studies with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
The invention registered in the process carried out under the ownership of our university offers a domestic alternative in the field of hygiene by supporting its ethanol-based structure with plant-based ingredients. A patent, a concrete example of translating academic knowledge into practice, demonstrates the results-oriented nature of the research studies conducted within our university.
Regarding patent registration, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, emphasized the importance of scientific studies translating into societal benefit, stating, "The conversion of the studies developed by our academics into patents is a result of our University's understanding of knowledge production and making this knowledge available to society." I congratulate Assist.Prof.Dr. Kerim Güney on this research and wish him great success.
