The patent titled "Powdered Glass Fiber Reinforced Phenol Formaldehyde Adhesive Mixture for Beech Plywood Production with Increased Screw Torque Value," applied for under the ownership of Kastamonu University and invented by Prof. Dr. Önder Tor, a faculty member of the Forestry Faculty's Forest Industry Engineering Department, and Gökhan Kayacık, a master's graduate, has been registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent presents an innovative approach to improving the screw-holding performance of plywood used in wood-based panel production. The aim is for the developed adhesive mixture to provide technical and practical contributions, particularly in the production of beech plywood.
Commenting on the issue, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that our university's efforts to produce knowledge and transform this information into registered outputs are continuing with determination, adding, "We find patent studies extremely valuable in terms of transferring academic knowledge into practice. "Such high-quality inventions produced within our university contribute to both the scientific world and relevant sectors," he stated.
Our Rector congratulated Prof. Dr. Önder Tor and Gökhan Kayacık, who contributed to the registration of the patent, and wished them continued success in their academic and innovative work.
