Kastamonu University Women's Rugby Team became the Turkish champion by defeating all their opponents without conceding any points in the Interuniversity Rugby Turkey Championship held in Afyonkarahisar on May 21-22. 

Our University, which participated for the first time in the tournament organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, completed the matches undefeated. The team, which included national athletes, was coached by national team coach Sercan Hükümen. 

In the women's category, Kastamonu University came in first, Koç University second, and Hitit University third.
Our rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed that the championship achieved is gratifying and congratulated the team and coach Sercan Hükümen. He declared that we will continue to support student achievements in all sports.
