Kastamonu University won the first prize with its Champions League Pavilion design in the 2025 TEKNOFEST Architecture and Visual Design Competition. The project brought together the architecture and technology of the future in an aesthetic, functional, and inspiring atmosphere, using the concept of a technology base equipped with the codes of the future. Our university has once again made its name known on a national scale in both architectural and technological design with this achievement.
The project was supervised by Gökçen Gököz Gedik, a lecturer in the Construction Building Inspection department at Abana Sabahat-Mesut Yılmaz Vocational School. The team captain was Muhammed Irmak, a master's student at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, and the members were İsmail Yüzgeç, a master's student at Kastamonu University, and Hamîde Nur Coşkun, a graduate of Amasya University.
The pavilion design, which stands out with its futuristic and interactive architecture, was conceived to provide visitors with the highest level of feeling like a part of technology. In the design, an inspiring and innovative atmosphere reflecting the energy of young people was created. From the central stage to the tree design, from the amphitheater area to hologram-supported thematic presentations, every detail integrated technology with creativity. The design, where sustainability, creativity, nature, and technology converge, offers people the opportunity to discover themselves.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed their pride in the achieved success and said the following: “Our team's experiences and accomplishments, including effectively representing our university at a major event like TEKNOFEST, will tremendously benefit their future projects and academic careers.I congratulate our successful team and wish them continued success in their work. Additionally, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization of this event and the TEKNOFEST team for providing us with this opportunity.”
