Kastamonu University Social Responsibility Projects Office (Social Office) deemed 27 family-based projects worthy of support among the project applications made in April within the scope of the declaration of 2025 as the "Year of the Family."
The projects prepared by academics and students from different faculties, schools, and departments of our university focus on various social issues aimed at strengthening the institution of the family.
Planned projects, ranging from education to health, culture to intergenerational communication, and social solidarity to psychosocial support programs, will be implemented in the central and district areas of Kastamonu.
Within the scope of the supported projects, workshops, seminars, guidance activities, and volunteer-based events will be organized in collaboration with nursing homes, children's homes, women's centers, and local non-governmental organizations.
The projects aim to directly contribute to the target audience while also providing our university students with the opportunity to take an active role in the field, thereby fostering social awareness, empathy, and leadership skills.
Our university aims to support the goals of the 2025 Family Year and to realize its mission of "contributing to society" through these projects. The Social Office will continue to develop social responsibility projects around themes such as family, environment, digital media, and artificial intelligence in the upcoming periods.
