According to the 2024 Round University Ranking (RUR) results, Kastamonu University has maintained its position in the global academic competition by securing a place in the international rankings. The RUR ranking, which evaluates leading universities from different countries around the world, is prepared based on the data from the independent data provider Thomson Reuters under four main headings: teaching, research, internationalization, and financial sustainability. 

According to this year's results, Kastamonu University ranked 1099th among the universities worldwide that made the list, and 57th among the universities from Turkey that made the list. In terms of subcategories, our University ranked 1134th in the field of teaching, 1024th in the field of research, 633rd in the field of international diversity, and 1089th in the field of financial sustainability. The recent quality-focused development, scientific production capacity, and efforts to increase international visibility of our university recently have enabled it to find its place in the rankings.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, in his statement regarding the ranking, emphasized that our University is progressing along a path open to development and made the following evaluation: "Round University Ranking results show that our university is progressing on a path open to development both nationally and internationally." The reflection of the steps taken in the fields of teaching, research, and internationalization in such rankings is an important indicator for us. "We will continue our efforts to achieve better results."
