According to the results of the 2024 world university rankings announced by URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance), the positions of universities in 11 different global evaluations were determined.

Kastamonu University achieved the success of being ranked in five out of a total of 11 international rankings this year. In these rankings, where universities are evaluated based on criteria such as research quality, scientific publication productivity, international collaborations, and digital visibility, Kastamonu University's scientific capacity and international visibility stood out. 

Kastamonu University was also included in the lists published by international ranking organizations such as URAP, Webometrics, THE (Times Higher Education), SCImago Institutions Rankings, and US News & World Report. According to the 2024 data, our university ranks in the 1501+ band in the THE ranking, which evaluates criteria such as education quality, research environment, and international visibility; 2164th in the URAP ranking, which is based on the quality of scientific publications, number of articles, and citation rates; 2107th in the US News & World Report ranking, which considers the number of scientific publications, citation rates, and international collaborations; 2278th in the Webometrics ranking, which is prepared based on digital visibility criteria; and 2556th in the SCImago ranking, which is based on research performance.

In his evaluation on the subject, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that increasing international visibility, enhancing scientific productivity, and strengthening academic collaborations are among the main objectives within the scope of Kastamonu University's 2025-2029 Strategic Plan. 

Stating that the ranking results obtained are an indication of the efforts carried out in line with these goals, our Rector thanked the President of the Higher Education Council, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the members of YÖK for their support of higher education policies.
