Kastamonu University continues its investments aimed at strengthening campus infrastructure and modernizing living spaces in line with its student-centered vision. Two major projects being carried out simultaneously at the central campus and the Alsancak Sports Hall aim to provide students with a safer, more aesthetic, and better-equipped environment.
Infrastructure and Landscaping Work Continues at the Central Campus
The "Central Campus Infrastructure and Landscaping Project," whose contract was signed in 2025, has been implemented. The project involves various improvements to campus roads, infrastructure systems, environmental landscaping, and social areas. The works aimed to be completed before the new academic year will ensure that the campus gains a more comfortable and functional appearance.
Alsancak Sports Hall is Being Strengthened
The Alsancak Sports Hall, which is heavily used by students, is being made more resilient and secure with the "Earthquake Strengthening Project." The gym will offer a modern environment where students can safely engage in sports activities in the new term.
"Our Campus is the Second Home for Our Students"
Evaluating the investments, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that the projects are planned to enhance the quality of life for students and made the following remarks: "We see our university as more than just an educational institution; it is also a living space where our students can feel safe and secure." With this understanding, we are strengthening the campus infrastructure and enhancing aesthetics and functionality through environmental regulations. To ensure that our students can safely continue their athletic endeavors, we are simultaneously strengthening the Alsancak Sports Hall against earthquakes. Our top priority is to provide our young people with a more modern, safer, and more livable campus.”
