Kastamonu University continues to support its academic output through the directorates it has structured to align with its scientific research, quality, and internationalization goals, with a planned, sustainable approach. The directorates operating within our university contribute to the high-quality and coordinated execution of scientific studies across a wide range, from research to publication, and from technology to environmental policies. While the Excellence in Education Coordinationship focuses on improving the quality of education by implementing current teaching approaches, the Sustainability Coordinationship addresses climate change, environmental responsibility, and resource efficiency within an institutional framework.
The Zero Waste Coordinationship supports the university's environmental policies at the implementation level by coordinating efforts in waste management, recycling practices, and environmental awareness. These structures operate as complementary elements of a corporate approach that centers on environmental responsibility.
The Artificial Intelligence Studies Coordinationship, which will be operational in 2025, coordinates interdisciplinary academic studies by taking a holistic approach across the university in the fields of digital transformation, data analytics, and smart systems. The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Coordinationship, on the other hand, contributes to the healthy conduct of scientific and educational activities by supporting the psychological well-being of students and staff in an integrated manner with academic life.
In addition to the newly established directorates, the existing directorate structures within our university continue to coordinate core academic activities. The Orhun Exchange Coordinationship, established within the General Directorate of External Relations, prioritizes international academic interaction and supports student and academic mobility, thereby increasing interaction between our university and universities affiliated with the TURKUNIB network.
Commenting on the issue, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that work is continuing with the goal of a university that centers on scientific research and prioritizes academic development.
Stating that the coordination structures enable the institutional-level implementation of this approach, our Rector said, "With the coordination structures we have established, we are addressing scientific production within a trackable and measurable framework. Our aim is to be a university that produces, shares, and transforms knowledge into social benefit.
Our rector concluded his remarks by stating that academic studies are being contributed to in a planned and harmonious manner through Coordinationship.
