The Finance and Banking Bachelor's Program, part of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Kastamonu University, has been accredited following an evaluation conducted by the Social Humanities Basic Sciences Accreditation and Rating Association (STAR). In this context, the program's accreditation is valid from March 11, 2026, to March 11, 2030.
During the evaluation process, the program's educational structure, course content, academic staff, facilities offered to our students, and continuous improvement efforts were examined in a multidimensional manner and documented to ensure compliance with national quality standards.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, in his evaluation regarding accreditation, stated, "We consider quality assurance as a fundamental approach in the educational activities conducted at our university. The STAR accreditation of our Finance and Banking Program is an indication of the work being carried out in this context. Meeting educational standards is the result of the efforts of both our academic staff and our students.
Our Rector continued his words as follows: "We do not see accreditation processes merely as a document acquisition process. These processes serve as a quality assurance mechanism, ensuring the regular review of educational activities, the analysis of the current situation, and the planned implementation of necessary improvements. This approach aims to further enhance the quality of our programs.
Our Rector thanked the President of the Higher Education Council, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the YÖK members for their support in the processes aimed at promoting quality-focused work, and also thanked the President of the Higher Education Quality Board, Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, and the board members for their contributions.
