Kastamonu University participated in educational events organized in Indonesia as part of its international promotion and cooperation activities, bringing together prospective students, educational institutions, and university representatives. During programs conducted within this scope, information was provided about our University's educational opportunities and efforts for international students.
The promotional and collaboration activities held in Indonesia were attended by our university's International Student Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Rıfat Kayiş, and the staff of the External Relations Coordination Office, Fatma Zehra Özcan.
In this context, our University also participated in the Türkiye Universities Fair 2026, organized by the Maarif Foundation, on January 24-25, 2026, in Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia. The opening of the fair held on January 24, 2026, at the Pullman Central Park Hotel in Jakarta was conducted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Talip Küçükcan. In his opening speech, Küçükcan emphasized the importance of the collaborations in the field of education between Türkiye and Indonesia.
Three Indonesian students who graduated from our university also participated in the fair, contributing to the promotion of our university. The graduate students shared their educational experiences at our University, campus facilities, and student life in Türkiye through their own experiences by having one-on-one meetings with prospective students and their parents.
The opening speech of the second day of the fair, held on January 25, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bandung, was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selman Özdan, the Education Attaché of the Republic of Türkiye Embassy in Jakarta. The Bandung part of the fair received intense interest from students and parents. At our university's stand, candidate students' questions were answered, and detailed information was provided about the educational opportunities offered.
As part of promotional activities, opportunities for cooperation between Turkish universities and high schools in Indonesia were discussed at an event organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Education on January 26, 2026. During the event, our university representatives held meetings with many high school administrators, establishing initial contacts for bilateral collaborations.
On the same day, at another event organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, representatives from universities in Türkiye and Indonesia came together. In this context, various universities that held meetings with our university representatives expressed their desire to collaborate with our university in the future. In accordance with the aforementioned requests, the necessary information was provided by the Bilateral Agreements and Protocols Coordination Office after the event.
During the visit to Qonita Islamic Boarding School on January 27, 2026, our University was introduced to students preparing for higher education. As part of the introduction, videos reflecting the academic and social life experiences of Indonesian students studying at our University were shown to the students. The program concluded with discussions between the high school administration and teachers after the students' questions were answered.
On the same day, a "Coffee Talk with Kastamonu University" event was held in Jakarta in collaboration with Edutolia Education, bringing together students and parents considering studying at our University. At the event, information was provided about our University's educational opportunities, international student programs, and student life in Kastamonu, and participants' questions were answered.
In the continuation of the marketing program, on January 28, 2026, Pesantren Modern Daarul ‘Uluum Lido High School was visited, and on January 29, 2026, Pondok Pesantren Daar el-Qolam 3 Campus Dza ‘Izza High School was visited.
During the visits, opportunities for collaboration with school administrations were evaluated, and presentations introducing our University to high school seniors were conducted. During the meetings with students, images of the facilities available to Indonesian students studying at our university and the activities they have organized were shared, and questions were answered.
