An event was organized by the Kastamonu University Child Education Application and Research Center for children aged 4-8 who receive services from the Children's Homes Site affiliated with the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. 

On December 18, 2025, as part of an event held in collaboration with the Preschool Education Community, under the academic supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aysun Ata Aktürk, the children's theater performance "The Color Monster" was staged by students from the Faculty of Education's Preschool Teaching program at our University's Baby and Children's Library. 

Children had a fun time at the game activity held after the theater performance and the "Color Monster" themed art activity. While games planned according to age groups contributed to children's social interactions, the art activity provided an opportunity for children to work on colors and emotions, creatively expressing their emotional world. 

Speaking about the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aysun Ata Aktürk, Director of the Child Education Application and Research Center, expressed their satisfaction in collaborating with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services to present the first performance of the play they prepared with teacher candidates. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr  Ata Aktürk said, "With this event, which is built around the theme of emotions, we aimed for children to recognize their emotions, improve their social interactions, and be in a pleasant learning environment. As the Child Education Application and Research Center, we will continue to carry out such studies with a sense of social responsibility," he said.
