The Kastamonu Enderûn Hafızlar Community crowned its music studies conducted throughout the 2024–2025 academic year with an end-of-year concert. The concert, organized under the auspices of Kastamonu University, met with art enthusiasts on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Hoca Ahmet Yesevî Cultural Center.
The program was attended by our vice rectors, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan and Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, as well as the academic and administrative staff of our university and many invited guests.
The event, which also attracted great interest from the people of Kastamonu, provided participants with a unique evening through its cultural and spiritual aspects.
Under the direction of conductor Muhammed Fevzi İbrahimoğlu, the ensemble took the stage with a rich repertoire consisting of hymns and classical Sufi music. The concert was performed in three parts. In the first section, pieces in the hijaz mode were performed, and Hafız Bestekâr Yusuf Balcıoğlu, the Imam and Preacher of Çamlıca Mosque, recited a kaside in this section.
In the second part of the concert, the ensemble presented pieces in the Huseyni and Karcığar modes to the audience. In the final section, a medley prepared in the Huzzam mode received great applause from the audience. Music lovers showed great interest in the artists' interpretations of the pieces performed both as solos and choruses.
The concert, which established a spiritual bridge between the past and the present, contributed to the cultural and artistic life of Kastamonu while meaningfully crowning the dedicated efforts carried out throughout the year. Participants experienced an unforgettable night.
