The 2025-2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held by the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) at Kastamonu University.
The ceremony was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, Acting Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demirbaş, TÖMER Director, Prof. Dr. Onur Hasdedeoğlu, our academic and administrative staff, and our international students.
The opening speech of the program was delivered by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı. Prof.Dr. Kaymakcı congratulated the students who successfully completed the Turkish language learning process and wished that their graduation would mark the beginning of new opportunities for them. Emphasizing that Turkish is a common value that brings together different cultures, Kaymakcı expressed his belief that our students will carry the knowledge and friendships they gain at our University into the future.
Prof.Dr. Kaymakcı stated that our students took their first steps toward building a bridge between different cultures within TÖMER, and emphasized that he believes the graduates will promote Turkish culture and Kastamonu University in their own countries in the future.
Following this, TÖMER Director Prof. Dr. Onur Hasdedeoğlu stated that TÖMER is not just a center offering Turkish language education, but also an educational environment where students from different countries engage in cultural interaction.
Stating that TÖMER continues to contribute to the university's vision of internationalization during this period, when Kastamonu University is celebrating its 20th anniversary, Hasdedeoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the determination and effort shown by the students throughout their education. Congratulating the graduates, Hasdedeoğlu wished them success in their future education and lives.
As part of the program, our TÖMER students recited Turkish poems. After the poetry recitals, the top student of the 2025-2026 Academic Year at TÖMER, Alııa Mınıurbekovna Suıubetkova, gave a speech thanking the academic and administrative staff for their support during their educational journey and extended her best wishes to her classmates.
The graduation program continued with a performance of a Turkish song by our students.
As part of the event, certificates of appreciation were also presented to TÖMER students who participated in the football, chess, and table tennis tournaments organized within the framework of our University's 20th-anniversary celebrations.
The program concluded with the traditional cap-throwing ceremony and a group photo session.
