Kastamonu University has taken an important step in its graduate education processes in line with its vision of digitalization. The Graduate Education Automation System (LEOS) has been officially put into use at the Graduate Education Institute operating within our university.
The work carried out under the coordination of the Student Affairs Department aims to make the master's and doctoral processes more effective, transparent, and sustainable.
With LEOS, many academic and administrative processes, from student applications to advisor appointments, thesis proposal and defense processes to institute management board decisions, can be conducted in a digital environment. Users will be able to track their transactions online in real time, reducing bureaucratic burdens and preventing delays in processes.
The system will also contribute to corporate memory by offering digital archiving capabilities, enabling faster, healthier decision-making.
In his evaluation on the subject, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that the digital transformation efforts are being carried out with determination and expressed the following: "Graduate education is one of the fundamental elements of universities' scientific production capacity. The effective, swift, and transparent execution of these processes is of great importance. With the implementation of LEOS, significant conveniences will be provided to our students and academic and administrative staff. This system will also enhance institutional efficiency and service quality."
