The University-Industry Cooperation Center (ÜSİM) under the Technology Transfer Office (KÜ-TTO) operating within Kastamonu University continues to sustain collaborations with tangible results through its ongoing efforts. A new addition has been made to the efforts to bring our university's academic expertise together with industry.
Under the coordination of ÜSİM, the project conducted with the Deva Gıda company operating in Devrekani has qualified for support. The project, prepared under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Müge Hendek and with the contributions of the KÜ-TTO ÜSİM unit, was accepted within the scope of the KOSGEB Capacity Development Support Program.
It was stated that the studies conducted under the coordination of ÜSİM bring together academic knowledge and experience with industry needs, and that efforts are underway to increase similar collaborations in the upcoming period.
With a total budget of 8 million 926 thousand 675 TL, the project aims to increase the company's production capacity, modernize production processes, and create new employment opportunities. The project is expected to contribute to the region's industrial infrastructure and local economy.
Our Rector, stating that universities contribute to society not only through their educational and research activities but also by transforming the knowledge they produce into economic value, made the following assessment:
“We consider bringing our academic expertise together with the industry as one of our priority areas. The work carried out through our Technology Transfer Office enables the transfer of scientific knowledge to production processes. This project, carried out with Deva Gıda, is a concrete reflection of our collaboration. Our efforts to contribute to regional development and improve the competitiveness of our businesses will continue.
