The "6th International Conference on Environment and Forest Conservation" (ICEFC2025), organized by the Faculty of Forestry at Kastamonu University from November 18-21, 2025, has received support from the "2223-C Multi-Participant International Event Organization Support" program managed by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Scientific Human Resources Support Department (BİDEB). This support will increase the congress's national and international recognition and contribute significantly to the development of academic studies in forestry and environmental sciences.
The symposium, themed "Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience," aims to present scientific approaches to current global issues such as climate change, natural disaster management, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable forest management.
The event, which is expected to be attended by numerous academics, researchers, and industry representatives from Turkey and abroad, will be an essential platform for strengthening scientific collaborations and encouraging interdisciplinary exchange of ideas.
Professor Dr. Mahmut Gür, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry at Kastamonu University, who provided information about the congress, stated that the event would be held in collaboration with Kastamonu University, Mindanao State University, Bogor Agricultural University, and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Tropical Biology. Prof. Dr. Gür stated, "We respectfully invite all interested parties to the 6th International Conference on Environment and Forest Protection (ICEFC2025), which will be held in Kastamonu between November 18-21, 2025." The conference will provide a valuable meeting place for scientists worldwide to share the latest forestry and environmental conservation developments, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and gain new perspectives. "The program, enriched with general and thematic sessions, will feature numerous scientific presentations and discussions," he said.
Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that TÜBİTAK's support for this project is an indicator of the university's scientific achievements, adding, "As a specialized university in forestry and nature tourism, this support fills us with great pride." ICEFC2025 is not just an academic event but a strategic platform that will contribute to nature-based solutions for climate resilience.
