The Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center, located on the Kuzeykent  Campus of Kastamonu University, has become the intersection of sports, social life, and academia thanks to its diverse facilities. The center, built on a vast area of 36,103 m², serves both university members and the people of Kastamonu with its modern infrastructure and extensive facilities.

Kastamonu University, which was awarded the title of "Sports-Friendly Campus" by YÖK (Council of Higher Education), not only offers modern sports facilities with the Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center but also successfully meets criteria such as strategic vision, sustainable social integration, and community participation. These features strengthen the university's mission to extend its healthy living and sports culture beyond the campus. 

Wealthy Prospects Fit for All Sectors

The facility features a 300-person restaurant and cafeteria, a five-lane semi-Olympic indoor pool, a multipurpose sports hall that can accommodate 730 spectators, two fitness rooms, a bowling alley, a reformer-pilates studio, table tennis, a gymnastics hall, and meeting/event spaces. In outdoor areas, there are two tennis courts, two futsal fields, two basketball courts, and two volleyball courts. For religious and health needs, there are separate prayer rooms for men and women, ablution areas, and a medical clinic; a 126-car parking area provides easy access.

Sports for Every Age, Activity All Year Round

The center organizes swimming, tennis, Pilates, and gymnastics courses for different age groups throughout the year, based on demand from sports enthusiasts. Event programs are updated during the term to provide participants with a dynamic and satisfaction-oriented service. Those who wish to benefit from the facilities can quickly complete their membership procedures for their desired sport at the reception. At the center, which caters to everyone with student and other special options, payments are accepted only by credit/debit card. 

Reservations for the evening sessions of the tennis court, indoor soccer field, and swimming pool can be easily made by phone or at the reception. A maximum of 4 people can play on a tennis court in one session, and 14 people on playground

Free and Equipped Outdoor Spaces 

Students and faculty at Kastamonu University have free access to basketball and volleyball courts. Balls and other equipment are available at reception upon request in return for identification.
