Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı, Kastamonu Members of Parliament F. Serap Ekmekçi and Halil Uluay, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, and AK Party Kastamonu Provincial Chairman Ahmet Sevgilioğlu visited Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı in his office on June 18, 2025.

During the visit, the current situation, planned activities, and requests awaiting support at the Ministry level regarding Kastamonu's economic development, social progress, forestry activities, and rural development projects, particularly in health and education, were discussed. Minister İbrahim Yumaklı, who is from Kastamonu, was provided with comprehensive information about the province's priorities and needs.

At the meeting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, informed Minister Yumaklı about our University's investments in education and health, as well as the forestry and nature tourism projects and scientific activities conducted within the specialization area.

The meeting highlighted the contributions to regional development through research in areas such as forestry, biotechnology, and medicinal and aromatic plants, while also evaluating Kastamonu's rich forest resources and the collaborations between the university, industry, and forest sectors. 
At the end of the visit, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı thanked the Kastamonu delegation for their kind visit.
