Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük held a series of academic meetings in Kayseri on July 28, 2025. As part of the visits, the delegation visited Erciyes University and Kayseri University, evaluated opportunities for academic cooperation, and examined the scientific studies being conducted at the universities on-site.
The delegation from Kastamonu University visited Kayseri University as their first stop. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük met with the university administration here to exchange ideas on potential academic collaborations.
As part of the visit, the Dr. Makbule Çıkrıkçıoğlu Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Application Center, where the construction process has been completed and furnishing work is ongoing, was also inspected. Evaluations were made regarding the physical infrastructure and implementation possibilities of the center.

The delegation also visited the Genome and Stem Cell Center (GENKÖK), which is one of the important research centers of Erciyes University. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, who were briefed on the ongoing research, stated that the center's infrastructure was impressive.
Commenting on the visit, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated, "Erciyes University's research infrastructure and academic expertise are a great asset for our country's higher education." "I believe that such contacts will further strengthen mutual cooperation," he said.
