Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, visited Düzce University Rector, Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir, on August 1, 2025. As part of the visit, two separate cooperation protocols regarding academic, scientific, and quality processes were signed between the two universities. Our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, also accompanied the visit.
The academic and scientific collaboration protocol agreed upon by the two universities intends to strengthen academic contacts, encourage scientific research, and collaborate on education and training. The collaboration takes numerous forms, including the exchange of information between academics and researchers, the promotion of joint projects, student and academic staff exchange programs, and the staging of scientific events.

Within the framework of the quality cooperation protocol signed to promote a culture of quality among universities, strengthen the quality assurance system in higher education, and institutionalize a sustainable understanding of quality; it aims to conduct mutual working visits, provide opinions and suggestions during internal evaluation processes, organize joint activities within the quality assurance system, enhance the capacity of internal quality teams, and strengthen the quality-based management approach.
Düzce University Rector Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir expressed his pleasure with the visit and stated that they were very excited about the joint projects to be carried out with Kastamonu University.
