Within the framework of the Hayrettin Karaca and Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Volunteer Awards, organized by the TEMA Foundation across Turkey, the Young TEMA Community of Kastamonu University became the national winner in the "University with the Most Volunteers of the Year" category.
As a result of evaluations conducted in the award program organized to promote environmental awareness and encourage volunteer activities, our university's Young TEMA Community was awarded first place among 150 universities across Türkiye.
Additionally, in the category of "Universities with the Most Volunteer Gains in the Last 6 Years," which focuses on volunteer work carried out since 2021, our University ranked among the top 5 universities in Türkiye.
Our Rector: "A meaningful indicator of our students' sensitivity."
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with the achieved success and congratulated the student community. Our Rector included the following statements in his announcement: “We are closely following the volunteer activities carried out by our university students with a sense of social responsibility, in addition to their academic development, with great satisfaction. The selection of our Young TEMA Community as the first in Türkiye in the 'University with the Most Volunteers of the Year' category is a meaningful indication of our students' sensitivity to environmental issues and the effort they have put in. I congratulate all our students, the community management, and our advisor for their contributions to this success, and I hope their work will serve as an example to other student communities.
