The Senate of Kastamonu University convened under the chairmanship of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal. The meeting, held in our university's Senate Hall, was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, and Acting Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demirbaş and senate members.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, provided a general assessment of the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year and outlined goals for the spring semester and planned activities.
Our Rector stated that the smooth execution of the academic calendar, the improvement of the effectiveness of education and training processes, and the continuation of student-centered practices are among the priority issues.
Furthermore, our Rector noted that universities are more than just educational institutions; they are organizations that contribute to society and generate value for regional development. He stated that the work being carried out in line with this understanding will be continued with determination.
Our Rector also touched on the education and teaching processes, stating that efforts to improve the academic and social opportunities offered to our students are ongoing, and that it is important for all academic and administrative units to coordinate during this process.
Following the Rector's speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük gave an informative presentation on the current status of our university, based on data from the 2025 YÖK Monitoring and Evaluation Report.
