Hosted by Kastamonu University, an Iftar Program and UNIDES Promotion Event were held as part of the Campus Iftar program organized by the General Directorate of Youth Services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports within the scope of the month of Ramadan.
The iftar program was held at our University's Central Cafeteria. The program was attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Kastamonu Deputy Governor Mevlüt Özmen, the General Director of Youth Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Dr. Enes Efendioğlu, and Deputy Directors Tarık Karkınçam, Tuncay Ulusan, and M. Tayyip Kahyaoğlu, Kastamonu Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Sami Kuşcu, and our University's Director of Health, Culture, and Sports Department Mehmet Sena Aygül.
Speaking at the iftar program, the General Director of Youth Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Enes Efendioğlu, stated that the month of Ramadan is an important period that reinforces feelings of sharing and solidarity. Dr. Efendioğlu emphasized that the iftar programs organized on university campuses help bring young people together and thanked our University for hosting the program.
After iftar, students gathered in the area in front of the Central Dining Hall on campus for the "Ramadan Abundance on Campus" event. The Hacivat-Karagöz and Âşık-Maşuk performances staged at the event attracted great interest from the participants. Various snacks were served throughout the program.
After the campus event, a promotional event was organized at the Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center as part of the ÜNİDES Program supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The program began with student communities that received support and those that applied, introducing their projects and activities at the established booths. While the students had the opportunity to promote the projects they were carrying out and the communities they represented, the protocol members visited the stands and met with the students.
After the booth visits, a discussion program titled "ÜNİDES Meeting" was held in the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center with the participation of protocol members and students.
Kastamonu Provincial Director of Youth and Sports, Sami Kuşcu, evaluated our university's recent high rankings in ÜNİDES as an important achievement and thanked those who contributed. Our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, stated that the projects carried out by student communities contributed to these successes and emphasized that students should continue to diversify their projects and activities to further enhance the achievements of our University.
The Deputy General Directors of Youth Services stated that, as the Ministry, they will continue to support student communities and their projects, emphasizing that young people should actively benefit from the various programs offered by the Ministry.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Enes Efendioğlu, Director General of Youth Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, stated that student communities play an important role in the social, cultural, and individual development of young people.
Emphasizing that the opportunities offered by the ÜNİDES Program are a valuable gain for young people, Dr. Efendioğlu stated that the supported projects will make meaningful contributions in various fields. Congratulating our university on its recent achievements and ongoing projects within the scope of ÜNİDES, Efendioğlu said that students could actively benefit from Youth Camps and Ministry programs.
After the event, various sports and entertainment activities held at the Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Center attracted great interest from students. Students came together in the various activities organized in different areas of the center. The program continued in the evening, with student participation.
