Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, hosted our students who placed in the Teknofest 2025 and the "Reaching and Accessible Turkey 2053" Inter-University R&D Idea Competitions in the Rectorate Meeting Hall. The meeting was also attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, consulting academics, and students.
The meeting was attended by the BİRdenDÖRT team, which won first place in the Champions League Pavilion category at the Teknofest 2025 Architecture and Visual Design Competition; the Oketruaj team, which won second place in the Health Category of the TÜBİTAK 2242 University Students Research Projects Competition; the Virtual Edu team, which won third place in Türkiye with the film "TOHUM" in the Artificial Intelligence Film Competition; and students who won Honorable Mention and third place awards in the Maritime, Highways, and Communications categories at the Turkey 2053 R&D Ideas Competition.
In his opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal emphasized that the students' achievements showcase the scientific production capacity of our University and the innovative potential of young people:
The successes our students achieved in the Teknofest and R&D competitions have greatly pleased us. The development of original and innovative projects by our university's youth increases our hopes for the future. The original work you have presented is a concrete demonstration of the importance our University places on research culture. We wish you continued success and look forward to seeing you with even bigger projects in the future. We will always continue to stand by our youth and support scientific and technological production processes. "
At the meeting, students shared their projects, the results they achieved, and their future goals. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Topal, thanked the students who had placed, congratulated them on their success, and presented each of them with a special gift as a memento of the day.
