Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, participated in the "Frames of the Year" voting organized by Anadolu Agency (AA), casting votes in six categories for photos taken by AA reporters and photojournalists, both domestically and internationally, throughout 2025.
Our rector voted for Evrim Aydın's photo titled "Aduken!" in the Sports category of the main categories, while preferring Umut Karahasanoğlu's work "Yurdumuz Yıldızlar" in the Natural Life and Environment category. In the Daily Life category, our Rector voted for Gerald Anderson's photo "Her Şeye Rağmen," and in the News category, he chose Emin Sansar's work titled "Kutlamalar."
In the categories added especially this year, in the Portrait category, the photo "Hayat Siyah Beyaz " by Mehmet Aslan was chosen, and in the Gaza: Hunger category, the photo "Gazans Condemned to Starvation by Israel Created a Surge at the Aid Point" by Ali Jadallah was preferred.
Our Rector emphasized that Anadolu Agency's "Pictures of the Year" project is not only a means of raising awareness in society but also an important tool for fostering understanding among people.
