Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal met with students from the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) at a breakfast program held at the Guest House on October 31, 2025. 

The meeting, held in a sincere atmosphere, was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, General Coordinator of External Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Öztürk Akcaoğlu, TÖMER Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Onur Hasdedeoğlu, Assistant Director, Lecturer Demet Demirel, and Lecturer. Zeynep Yılmaz and TÖMER students from various countries are studying at our university. 

During the program, views were exchanged on the students' educational processes, daily lives, and their adaptation to Turkish culture and the Kastamonu region. Speaking at the event, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, highlighted Kastamonu University's internationalization goals and expressed his pleasure in hosting students from diverse geographical backgrounds at our university.

Our university has a structure that centers on tolerance, friendship, and the universality of science. Learning Turkish at TÖMER and preparing for your academic life means not only learning a language but also establishing a lasting cultural connection between your countries and Turkey. You are important representatives of this bond. " 

Our Rector also stated that TÖMER plays an important role in the adaptation process of international students to Turkey through its language teaching and cultural adaptation studies, and emphasized that as university management, they will continue to support these efforts. 

The students expressed their satisfaction with the program and thanked our Rector.
