Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal was re-elected to the ÜAK Board of Directors at the 262nd Term Meeting of the Interuniversity Council (ÜAK).
In a meeting hosted by the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, with the participation of rectors from state and foundation universities and university representatives, discussions were held on topics related to the Turkish Higher Education Vision Toward 2030, after which the members of the YÖK board were re-elected. As a result of the voting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, was once again elected as a member of the UAK Board of Directors.
The Interuniversity Council, which operates to strengthen cooperation, coordination, and academic solidarity among universities in Turkey, stands out as one of the most important bodies guiding the development of the higher education system.
The ÜAK Board of Directors consists of members selected from the fields of Science and Engineering, Health, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts, as well as the ÜAK President.
Our rector, after being re-elected as a member, used the following expressions in his statement:
We will continue our efforts to strengthen the sharing of knowledge, experience, and vision among our universities with determination. I was very happy to be reappointed to this position. Contributing to the development of our higher education system by 2030 is a shared responsibility for all of us."
