Kastamonu University received the first-place award in the Architecture and Visual Design Competition held as part of TEKNOFEST 2025.

The ONEtoFOUR team, representing our university in the competition, was awarded first place in the Champions League Pavilion category. The award was presented to the Birdendört Team by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as part of the TEKNOFEST events held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport from September 17-21, 2025.

The project was advised by Gökçen Gökgöz Gedik, a lecturer in the Construction and Building Inspection Department of the Abana Sabahat-Mesut Yılmaz Vocational School; the team captain was Muhammed Irmak, a master's student at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa; and the members were İsmail Yüzgeç, a master's student at Kastamonu University, and Hamîde Nur Coşkun, a graduate of Amasya University.

The pavilion, themed "A Technology Base Equipped with the Codes of the Future," combines architectural esthetics and technology. With its futuristic and interactive structure, the design offers visitors an experience of integration with technology, creating an inspiring and innovative atmosphere. The structure, which combines sustainability, creativity, nature, and technology, provides opportunities for exploration and interaction. 

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, congratulated the students and their academic advisors on their achievement, stating: This unique design presented by our university students and academics is not only a competition success but also a testament to the imagination, scientific knowledge, and technological vision of our youth." 

TEKNOFEST is much more than just a competition; it is an exceptional platform where our youth can showcase their scientific and technological achievements to the widest possible audience, shaping the future. Our university's first-place finish in this organization is an exciting and valuable achievement for us. We will continue to support our youth with innovative thinking and production at all times.
