The Senate of Kastamonu University held its first meeting of the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year under the chairmanship of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal.  

On February 5, 2026, the meeting held in our University's Senate Hall was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, Acting Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demirbaş, and the senate members.  

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, made evaluations on the new semester, the academic calendar, educational activities, and planned works.

Thanking all the academic and administrative staff who contributed to the activities carried out during the fall semester, our Rector stated that the planned activities for the spring semester would continue with determination. Our Rector emphasized the importance of conducting academic processes in a planned and orderly manner for the progress of our University in line with its goals.

Additionally, during the meeting, the 2025 Academic Performance Evaluation Report prepared by the Data Analysis, Monitoring, and Evaluation Coordination was presented to the senate members by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük.  

The first senate meeting of the new term concluded after the agenda items were discussed, and the decisions made were evaluated.
