The Senate of Kastamonu University convened under the chairmanship of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal. The meeting, held in our university's Senate Hall, was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, and Acting Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demirbaş and the senate members.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, thanked the academic and administrative staff who contributed to the activities at our University during the 2025–2026 academic year. Referring to the work carried out in education, research, and institutional development, our Rector stated that the University continues to progress in line with the goals set.
In the continuation of his speech, our Rector emphasized that the efforts of the academic and administrative units, working in collaboration, are valuable for institutional development. He stated that our university will continue its activities in education, research, and social contribution in the coming period.
As part of the meeting, the Education Excellence Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Berat Ahi, presented data-driven work and planned activities carried out by the coordinatorate based on feedback from students and faculty members. In the presentation, evaluations were conducted by providing information on practices aimed at improving education and training processes.
Additionally, the Acting Head of the Student Affairs Department and the Secretary of the Graduate School of Education, Aydın Caymaz, provided information about the new statistics section on our university's Student Affairs Department website and the Graduate Education Automation System (LEOS). In the presentation, the systems' areas of application, the opportunities they offer, and their contributions to academic processes were discussed.
