Kastamonu University received its awards from the "Reaching and Accessible Türkiye 2053" R&D Idea Competition in a ceremony; our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, was also presented with the "Project Special Award."
The award ceremony for the 3rd 'Reaching and Accessible Türkiye 2053 Inter-University R&D Idea Competition' was held at the Beşiktaş KGM Ortaköy Social Facilities. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Governor of Istanbul Davut Gül, Director General of Information Technologies Muhammed Selami Yazıcı, university rectors, and students.
Our students who won awards on behalf of our university and our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, attended the award ceremony of the III. Reaching and Accessing Turkey 2053 Inter-University R&D Idea Competition organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Our students received their awards
Our university students achieved a significant success by winning a third place, three honorable mentions, and the R&D Incentive Award in the competition. The awards were presented in the categories of maritime, road, and communications. Our students represented our university by attending the ceremony alongside our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal.
The "Project Special Award" was Presented to Our Rector
At the ceremony, the "Special Project Award" given to Kastamonu University as the university with the most project submissions to the competition was presented to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal. Our Rector stated that they accepted the award as a value given to the R&D studies within the University and thanked all academics and students.
Minister Uraloğlu: "Young People's Ideas Contribute to Turkey's Vision"
In his speech at the ceremony, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that 315 students from 65 universities participated in the competition with 200 projects, and that 46 projects and 82 students from 32 universities won awards.
Stating that a total of 4,922,800 TL in prizes were distributed this year, Uraloğlu emphasized that the innovative ideas of young people in the field of transportation and communication made significant contributions to Turkey's 2053 vision.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that the students' achievements demonstrate the University's R&D strength, adding:
The rankings achieved by our students in this competition demonstrate the research and development capacity and innovative perspective of our University. These awards demonstrate both our contribution to our country's strategic goals and our commitment to the future. We believe our successes will continue to increase in the coming period. "
